Wheat prices in Karachi fell from Rs4,600 to Rs4,100 per 40kg after government action against hoarding.
According to Dawn, the price of a 100kg bag dropped by Rs1,000 to Rs10,800 in Sindh markets.
Sindh Food Secretary Ghulam Abbas Naich stated that the drive recovered around 85,000 tonnes of wheat.
Sindh is estimated to have produced 4.8m tonnes of wheat in the 2025-26 season, 1m tonnes higher than the previous year.
